Marshmallows on sticks, dipped in strawberry white chocolate & rolled in the shortcake crumble. Dessert. Use the crumble from the cereal treats post.
Ingredients
- 1 bag marshmallows
- 2 cups white chocolate (or 1 cup plus 1 bag)
- Strawberry shortcake crumble (from the cereal treats recipe)
- Sticks or skewers, about 5 inches
- 4 to 5 drops strawberry extract
- Red food coloring, optional
Method
Cut the sticks about 5 inches long.
Microwave 1 cup white chocolate in 30-second bursts until melted. Dip the end of a stick in the chocolate. Push it through the middle of a marshmallow until it pokes out. Slide that marshmallow down a bit, dip the stick again, & add a second marshmallow. Set them aside so the chocolate hardens & they stay put.
While those set, melt the rest of the chocolate — another cup, or 1 bag — the same way, 30 seconds at a time. Stir in 4 to 5 drops of strawberry extract & food coloring if you want it pink.
Pour the shortcake crumble onto a plate.
Dip each marshmallow stick in the chocolate & roll until covered. Scrape a little off if the coat is too thick, or spread it with a butter knife. Roll in the crumble. Pour more crumble over if you need full coverage.
Set them aside until the chocolate hardens. Drizzle leftover chocolate on top if you want the extra finish.
